Field Visit to Perilla Farms
Parilla Guard visited local Perilla farms to learn about the full cultivation process — from growing and harvesting to seed storage and processing. The visit also provided an opportunity to understand the challenges farmers face, both economic and technical, in sustaining Perilla production.
Through this engagement, we gained valuable insights into how scientific research can help to add product value, and create new opportunities for Perilla utilization in eco-safe skincare innovation.
Collaboration with Public Organization
At Chiang Mai province, we visit the Highland Research and Development Institute (HRDI), where we learned from their ongoing agricultural development initiatives and explored future collaboration opportunities in sustainable Perilla production.
Through this partnership, we aim to demonstrate innovative ways to utilize Perilla seeds — transforming them from traditional crops into high-value ingredients for skincare and sunscreen products.
In addition, we had the opportunity to present the Perilla Guard project directly to local farmers and invited them to try our products. This hands-on experience helped illustrate how Perilla seeds can be further utilized in sunscreen formulations, empowering farmers to see the expanded potential of their crops and encouraging them to increase production and generate higher income.
